Kelly has a passion for history, business, and strategy. He earned his MBA from Babson College in Massachusetts, with a focus on entrepreneurial leadership, and studied Accounting at the University of Minnesota. His academic journey began with a focus on classical history at Gonzaga University, where he studied Greek and Roman civilizations, later supplementing his education with Russian studies at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies.

Kelly has helped hundreds of households and businesses navigate through the challenging seas of taxes, accounting, and finance. His keen interest is in helping small business owners problem-solve and position their companies for financial success. Kelly considers the Great Writers and Leaders in History (aka, Dead White Men!) as his mentors and leaders. Specifically, shoutouts go to Sun Tzu, Aristotle, Alexander the Great, Julius Caesar, Jesus Christ, Napolean, and the great Irish writers Yeats and Joyce. And, of course, Luca Pacioli, the father of the double-entry accounting system. He also attributes Michael Porter’s “Five Force Analysis” as a game-changing insight into business competition, survival, and success.
