John Mitchell, LLB, MST, EA, is an Enrolled Agent, former IRS Appeals Officer, and tax attorney at the J Mitchell Law Firm, PC in Houston, Texas. In his career he has prepared over 10,000 tax returns and has successfully handled over $100 Million in IRS tax controversies.

In 2023, he was one of only ten individuals in the United States to pass the United States Tax Court admission exam (out of 163 test takers), earning the prestigious designation United States Tax Court Practitioner (USTCP). Already a licensed attorney in Mexico, John later went on to pass the California Bar Exam.
